Beth Root is also known as Birth Root, Indian Love, True Love, Southern John the Conqueror, Wake Robin, so that gives you a pretty good idea of what it is used for magickally: for marriage wishes, for good sex, to find true love, to help lovers and married couples get over quarreling, for easier childbirth, to promote domestic tranquility, and generally for luck and protection among them.

Beth Root is any of a number of Trillium species that grow in the South in moist forest environments. This root was a Native American magick herb which made its way into Southern HooDoo and European Western magick traditions. The flowers resemble Jack in the Pulpit, which it is related to. There may be some medicinal properties that make it helpful in childbirth. I have heard of it being used more magickally for this, as a charm for easier delivery.
