Magnet oil is a general attraction formula to draw whatever you want to you. It also contains Lavender essential oil, to make sure that whatever is being attracted has a positive, non malevolent nature. Magnet, and other similar potions are also known as Attraction or Magnetic Attraction. Are all used similarly. Focus herb: Lodestones

I have seen a number of versions of this traditional New Orleans style HooDoo oil, and they are all fairly similar. Some tend to use the sweeter essential oils or even synthetics. For my version, I wanted something that smells like iron, to correspond with the magnetic sand, which is iron filings. After I make each bottle, I twirl the lodestones inside with a very powerful magnet, and this is how I blend the oil. The main difference between my Magnet and traditional HooDoo Magnet is that HooDoo uses mineral oil for this formula (and for any other formulae which are based on the properties of stones and minerals) and mine is in my preferred fractionated Coconut/Almond/Vitamin E base. If you want a mineral oil version, select that option in the drop-down.

Magnets by their nature attract things...indiscriminately, because they are rocks and not so intelligent, even as rocks go. They are more like mechanical beings, not crystalline intelligences, in my opinion. One of the ingredients in my Magnet oil is Lavender essential oil, which is widely used to raise spiritual vibrations and prevent untoward entities from attaching, and Lavender Spirit IS highly intelligent and discriminating, ruled as it is by Hermes/Mercury. When I first encountered this traditional Magnet oil formulation, I was really surprised by the inclusion of Lavender at first, and then of course...OH YEAH we need a gatekeeper on this stuff. And oddly enough, in the formula it does contribute to the scent of "iron" ...I know that people are not supposed to be able to "smell" metals, but I can. (Except for Gold, that has no scent to me.)

Magnet oil is usually used on candles or items to represent the things that are to be attracted, such as candles to represent the persons to be kept connected, or photo of the object to be brought to you, or you could draw a heart around a photo of two people, etc.

These magick oils are also called ritual oils, anointing oils or condition oils. They can be used to anoint a person, candle, mojo bag, lucky coins, jewelry, amulets, statues, prayer or spell scrolls, or anything that has a connection with the purpose of the oil or the "condition" it is made to address. Use them according to your inspiration, imagination, the instructions in a book, your Spirit Guide, teacher or Angel's recommendations, or how your Grandma taught you.
