• Moon in Pisces opposed the Sun in Virgo - Partial North Node Eclipse

• Moon conjunct Neptune rx

The full moon tonight is in Pisces and conjunct Neptune retrograde. It will also be a partial eclipse, with a loose conjunction to the North Node in Aries. The Sun is shining its light from Virgo, in an earth trine with Pluto retrograde in Capricorn and Uranus retrograde in Taurus. The Sun will also be loosely conjunct the South Node in Libra. While the nodes are still in the Aries - Libra axis, nestled in the early degrees of these cardinal signs, this will also be our first glimpse of the coming North Node - Pisces and South Node - Virgo transits.

As the nodes transit the zodiac they spend roughly a year and a half in each sign, which makes three eclipse “seasons” that occur roughly every six months as the ecliptic path of the Sun crosses the orbital path of the Moon. Every solar eclipse occurs on a new moon and every lunar eclipse occurs on a full moon. Within the yearly lunations there is the monthly cycle of the Moon as it creates phases with the Sun, but there is also a greater cycle that begins with a solar eclipse. This full moon is the culmination of both this monthly and yearly cycle. 

Both what started on April 8th with the solar eclipse conjunct the North Node in Aries and what began on the new moon in Virgo at the beginning of the month have come to a head. We’ve reached the turning point, where all things must be realigned. Where destiny and fate can reach their fingers from the ether and nudge us down our path. Since this lunar eclipse will be connecting with the North Node we have the opportunity to move forward, to seed our future in one way or another. 

Because the nodes work through a longer cycle, this might not be immediately apparent. We can get a glimpse of the direction things are headed, and we should be aware that the actions we take in this moment are shaping our future experience, but the more immediate influence will be the earth trine made by the Sun, Pluto, and Uranus. Pluto and Uranus are both retrograde, so they are likely to affect each of us more personally than you might expect from the outer planets. Pluto requires us to let something go so that we can be fully transformed, while Uranus brings sudden and chaotic changes. 

With Uranus acting in Taurus we can expect revolutionary change related to what we value, and how we are valued. With Pluto in Capricorn what faces destruction is our career, or the legacy that we have worked to build. Do not fear to release what no longer works for you. Pluto requires a death of sorts but it comes with the promise of rebirth, and in better form. The Sun energizes the formation from Virgo where we find our daily structure. Since this is an earth trine the world is truly and physically shifting, there is no hanging on to the past. The old ways are gone and a new way is being written. 

The Moon is pushing us forward, showing where destiny will take us. However, since the Moon is conjunct Neptune (also retrograde), that is hardly clear at the moment. A path is being illuminated but Neptune acts like a veil. Truth is obscured around us as we try to glimpse through the fog to see what lies in our future. It would be easy right now to mistake what forms around us for reality, but there are still layers that have to be peeled back. Don’t buy into illusions that act to disguise and don’t mistake deception for honesty. 

This is also our last eclipse season with the nodes in Aries and Libra, at least for another 8 years until they sit in the reverse position. With the North Node in Aries destiny has called us to create new beginnings for ourselves. Driven by our passion we have been called to make bold moves, energizing projects that have created a whole new life for us. This has opened up partnerships, friendships, and relationships; and heightened our creative and artistic expression. 

Now, we get our first glimpse of what the North Node in Pisces and the South Node in Virgo will bring. We are being given the opportunity to shape these futures for ourselves, what we put into the situations around us and what we take from them is all deserved, in one way or another. With the North Node moving into Pisces it will be activating our dreams, but also our fears. Here lies the unknowable, the unseeable, and the unfeelable. Where concentrated energy has begun to dissociate, where our imagination holds the power, and what we can create is limitless. 

As the South Node enters Virgo, what comes back to us requires detailed and meticulous planning and application. This can be a time where lifestyle patterns bring health repercussions that require careful daily maintenance, or maybe we anticipate what is a budding problem and take the steps needed for prevention. Our work structure will also be changing. Career paths can present opportunities, but require effort to accomplish. We can never get to the point of building a legacy if we don’t lay the groundwork in our daily routine. 

Tuesday September 19th

Today as the full moon calls us forward into our future, know that our actions will come back to us. It will take time, anything activated by the nodes always does, but we are seeding our future and would do well to put care into what we plant. With Neptune influence truth is obscured behind the veil and we can get lost in fantasy. Use what lies in our imagination as inspiration, but do not mistake it for fact. 

The Sun's connection to Pluto and Uranus promises something of an ego death. Do not struggle to hold on to what is not meant for you. Release it, let it flow out into the vast waters of the Universe, and a new wave will come. Something fresh and not carrying the vast weight of what came before it. This can and will happen suddenly. Uranus always brings the unexpected and never plays out quite how we envisioned. 

The world is changing around us and that can seem scary and destabilizing, but let it go. What lives in the past is not meant for us now in the present, and it will not define our future.
