Hecate is an ancient, pre-Olympian Greek goddess of the crossroads and the Underworld. Attended by hounds, she challenges at the crossroads, sometimes barring passage, but often giving guidance.

Hecate is one of the most accessible of the Underworld goddesses, a huge source for wisdom, strength, and direction. In addition to being an Underworld deity, she is also a Moon goddess. I potion Hecate oil on Saturdays near the Dark Moon, to emphasize her chthonic powers. You can rely on Hecate whenever you need to find your way in the dark, whether actual or spiritual darkness. She is also a favorite matroness for magick and Witchcraft, so you may seek her for insight into occult matters of many subjects. Hecate is often depicted as a triple goddess, and while she is regarded as the Crone aspect to complete a Mother, Maiden and Crone devotional trio, iconography in Greek art depicts all three as being beautiful women of the same age, in their prime.

I first potioned up Hecate oil on Samhain of 1997, and the formula has not changed since this ritual. It contains only three ingredients, honoring the Triple Goddess of the crossroads.

Natural Magick deity oils are made with reverence and research to be pleasing devotional blends for the gods and goddesses they are named for. I research legend and lore, and try to use oils of plants that grew in the lands where the deity originated or rules. The Natural Magick process of using planetary and elemental influences, correspondence, and high quality ingredients is especially appropriate for honoring the gods and bringing their qualities into our lives.

Anoint yourself to attune to these deities, or pour into offering bowls or aromatherapy lamps, or anoint statues or fetish objects. I love to give them to priests or priestesses who run open circles or invoke our patron gods and goddesses.

These oils are in beautiful round 1/2 ounce bottles, blended in 100% fractionated coconut oil, so with any care they should last a very long time. They are priced according to the ingredients requested by the gods.
