MEDITATION, WISDOM AND MENTAL POWER magicks are done as an end to their own, but all magick done to discipline the mind and seek the guidance of our Higher Powers also recursively strengthens our magickal abilities.
The mind responds readily to certain scents which help bring about a meditative state, or a more active state conducive to memory and learning. Monks learned how to grind incense for these different effects, and temples and sanctuaries across the world became the go-to manufactury for incenses, perfumes, and other fragrant aids to mental discipline, prayer and self-improvement.
