Bat oil
Bat oil
Creatures of the night, Bats are often associated with Vampyres, but this blend is dedicated to the animal guide itself. Find your way in the dark, astral travel, fly between the Worlds. Bat is also a messenger totem.
There are many odd beliefs about bats around the world, and they are certainly odd creatures. In the Western biblical traditions, they are associated with the night and evil spirits and demons. Like other beings that fly at night, they have connections to souls of the dead and death/life cycles. Many people fear them, so Bat may be about facing your fears. They are difficult to see in motion, so bat shamanism may help with invisibility or the ability to see into the darkness.
My home town, Austin, TX is a great destination for Bat lovers, and we are home to Bat Conservation International. Bat watching at the Congress Street Bridge has become a major tourist attraction and cause for yet another street festival in Austin. Bat could definitely be considered a major Urban Totem animal for the citizens of ATX!
So how does it smell? Of all of the totem formulations, Bat oil has been the most challenging! No way around it, Bat is an odd creature and they don't smell good at all. I wanted this potion to be strange, mysterious, and airborne, but I didn't want it to be unwearable. The two ingredients that made this possible are a synthetic Danool Oud, (which really does smell like the terrifically expensive real thing) and Blue Tansy, which gives the oil a midnight blue color befitting Bat, agent of the night. Wear it to enhance your ultrasonic (psychic) hearing, to contact spirits of the dead or to send messages via Bat to the Other Realms.
Bat is an Elemental Animal of Air and Spirit, having little of the other Elements, and partakes of the Planetary energy of Mercury. While Halloween iconography shows the Bat under the Full Moon, in reality Bats are less active when the Moon is bright, because the light favors their predators. Bat is potioned on Wednesdays when the Moon is a waning crescent, reminiscent of the Bat's wing.

Spirit Guide Oils are 100% Vegan
No animals, angels, spirits or cryptids were harmed in the making of these oils
Natural Magick Spirit Guide oils are made with reverence and research to be pleasing devotional blends for the animals or beings they are named for. I research legend and lore, and try to use oils of plants that represent the guide, what it does and what it smells like. The Natural Magick process of using planetary and elemental influences, correspondence, and high quality ingredients is especially appropriate for invoking the nature of your guide.
Spirit Guide oils are not made as fakey perfumes with marketable names. Fox really does smell wild and clever, Bear is somber and impressive, Angel is ethereal and bright, Dragon smells like smoke and scales.
Anoint yourself to attune to your totem, or pour into offering bowls or aromatherapy lamps, or anoint statues or fetish objects.
These oils are in beautiful round 1/2 ounce bottles, blended in 100% jojoba oil, so with any care they should last a very long time. They are priced according to the ingredients most resembling the guide so named.

How to Use
These magick oils are also called ritual oils, anointing oils or condition oils. They can be used to anoint a person, candle, mojo bag, lucky coins, jewelry, amulets, statues, prayer or spell scrolls, or anything that has a connection with the purpose of the oil or the "condition" it is made to address. Use them according to your inspiration, imagination, the instructions in a book, your Spirit Guide, teacher or Angel's recommendations, or how your Grandma taught you.
