Coyote is a trickster Spirit Guide highly regarded by many Native American religions. Coyote correspondent to other trickster gods or mythological personalities in stories worldwide. While Coyote pranks other people and animals, it is not unusual that the Coyote is also the target of his own jokes!

In addition to comedic relief and troublemaking, Coyote is a very intelligent creature and inventor of resourceful solutions where none existed. A friend of mine told me this true Coyote story which illustrates this trait: One day he was fishing in a mountain stream in a remote part of New Mexico. He watched a Coyote come out of the woods and wander downstream from where he was fishing. The Coyote rummaged through the brush and flotsam of the creek, picking up one stick after another in her mouth. She would hold the stick, shake it and then discard it and pick up another. My friend watched fascinated, not knowing what on Earth Coyote was up to. She finally found a stick that seemed to pass whatever selection criterion she was applying, and then she backed up slowly into the cold creek, until finally just her nose was showing above the water, and the stick she was holding aloft. She stayed submerged for so long my friend almost forgot about the underwater Coyote, until suddenly she leaped out of the creek, flinging aside the stick! She then raced off back into the woods. My friend was filled with curiosity, so he walked down to where the Coyote's stick lay on the bank of the creek. He picked it up and instantly, his arm was covered with a multitude of fleas! He was forced to take off his shirt and jacket and beat them on a rock to get rid of the Coyote's fleas. Coyote had found an excellent way to rid herself of the pests!

The music of Coyote's singing at night often reminds us of singing at a party, and we know that this is their way of keeping the pack harmonious. In this way Coyote teaches us how to get along with our neighbors, and how to communicate.

Coyote is mischievous, intriguing and shadowy smelling, if you can imagine that. Corresponding to the Trickster god Hermes, Coyote is made on Wednesdays after the Full Moon, when the Moon is in the shape of the Coyote's eye.

Coyote is an Elemental Animal of Earth, and partakes of the Planetary energy of Mercury.

Natural Magick Spirit Guide oils are made with reverence and research to be pleasing devotional blends for the animals or beings they are named for. I research legend and lore, and try to use oils of plants that represent the guide, what it does and what it smells like. The Natural Magick process of using planetary and elemental influences, correspondence, and high quality ingredients is especially appropriate for invoking the nature of your guide.

Spirit Guide oils are not made as fakey perfumes with marketable names. Fox really does smell wild and clever, Bear is somber and impressive, Angel is ethereal and bright, Dragon smells like smoke and scales.

Anoint yourself to attune to your totem, or pour into offering bowls or aromatherapy lamps, or anoint statues or fetish objects.

These oils are in beautiful round 1/2 ounce bottles, blended in 100% jojoba oil, so with any care they should last a very long time. They are priced according to the ingredients most resembling the guide so named.
